On March 24, criminal justice reform will take center stage on BET as the network prepares to air “American Injustice: A BET Town Hall,” hosted by Soledad O’Brien. O’ Brien will sit down with Democratic presidential hopefuls Kamala Harris and Corey Booker, along with members of the Congressional Black Caucus, activists and everyday Americans, to discuss the state of criminal justice reform in America.
According to BET, the town hall will touch on several criminal justice related issues, including juvenile justice, the cash bail system, the school-to-prison pipeline and the First Step Act – a historic piece of criminal justice reform legislation.
“We look forward to taking the conversation beyond our screens and into action as we work towards addressing and telling the untold stories of transgressions to Black Americans,” said BET President Scott Mills.
You can watch “American Injustice: A BET Town Hall” on Sunday, March 24 at 8 p.m. ET on BET.
