C.T. Mexica has a dual doctorate in Comparative Literature and Theory and Criticism from the University of Washington. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Arizona State University’s School of Social Transformation. C.T.’s research is centered on the literature of crime, confessions, and confinement and on the social theory of tragedy, transformation, and transition. C.T. is currently working on a memoir.
C.T. is an Art for Justice Bearing Witness Fellow, which is for writers of exceptional talent, enabling them to complete projects that speak to the human cost of mass incarceration.
