Legal Services for Prisoners with Children (LPSC) organizes communities affected by the criminal justice system and advocates to release incarcerated people, restore human and civil rights and reunify families and communities. It is a national leader in exposing how the expansion of the prison system damages low-income communities and communities of color, and how women and their children have been specifically affected by mass incarceration.

LSPC will use funding from the grant to promote an agenda at the state and local levels to lessen the impact of the criminal justice system on families. This includes promoting child custody and visitation rights for incarcerated mothers, expanding the number of All of Us or None chapters and continue to develop the internal capacities of each chapter, supporting the restoration of voting rights and working with Oakland Housing Authority to a secure property to provide re-entry housing for individuals being released from jail or prison.
