Founded in 2016, Prosecutor Impact (PI) provides new prosecutors with tools, data, and training to make compassionate, fair, and informed decisions that demonstrate a commitment to public safety, victims’ well-being, and improved outcomes for those charged with crimes.

Prosecutor Impact took action to improve outcomes for the millions of people impacted by the U.S. criminal justice system. Funding supported Prosecutor Impact’s continued expansion in serving DA offices around the country. In the next year, the organization delivered its training in 5-8 communities, continuously adapting the curriculum to engage the entire staff of DA offices in breaking down hierarchies and doing the challenging work of culture change. Participating prosecutors learned to identify their own biases and learned strategies to address these biases through behavior changes that have positive outcomes for communities.
